Robyn Movsessian has been a lifelong mentor to me, and I’ve always admired her artistry, resilience, and clear and inspiring educational skills. Robyn was instrumental in my transition from recreational dance student to my professional career. I owe her my early success as a professional dancer because of my proximity to her educational philosophy and training throughout my formative years. By the time I had reached the level required to prepare for a professional career, I had already built good training habits under her tutelage, and I always knew I had her support. Robyn is full of life, love, and celebrates the journey of those she cares about, which is a great vast many in her large circle. Her joy and resilience are contagious. She is fierce but kind, strong but collaborative.

As a dancer, I have experienced taking classes with Robyn as a teacher, as well as dancing for Saving Grace Dance Ensemble under her artistic directorship. Robyn has been absolutely wonderful to work with. Not only does she keep her dance environment welcoming and positive, but also makes every dancer in her company and classes feel valued, giving dancers a safe space to explore their art and skills. She always provides clear communication to dancers, as well as being very respectful of everyone’s time and energy. I love working with Robyn and have definitely grown as a dancer through my experience with her!
